CONGREGATIONS’ MOTTO:
          For the members
“It is better to receive than to give.”
For the pastor (forced motto given by members)
“It is better to give than to receive.”

THE BIG QUESTION
If the pastor cares for the church, who cares for the pastor?
          I just realized I DON’T CARE.
That’s the wrong question. It should be, “Who takes care of the pastor?”

Pastors are people, too.
          They can get sick
          They can have problems
          They can be in need

Questions for members:
Do you know the needs of your pastor?
Do you visit your pastor at home?
If you do visit, how often?
Do you pray for your pastor?
          How often do you pray?
          Do you support his vision?
          Do you support YOUR pastor?

The Prosperity Verse…
Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.
                                                                                                    2 Chronicles 20:20

Why support your pastor?
Believing in your pastor equates prosperity. (2 Chronicles 20:20)
Believing in your pastor equates humility and fear of the Lord; giving riches, honour and life. (Proverbs 22:4)
Supporting your pastor equates better service from him.
Supporting your pastor equates supporting God; for he is a man of God.

How to support your pastor:
     STEP ONE
Pray for your pastor on a daily basis
Ask the Lord to give them strength and courage to do his will regardless of the obstacles that he or she may face
     STEP TWO
               Protect your pastor
Refuse to be involved in church gossip
Remember, God has placed your shepherd over your life and you do not want to be involved in confusion
     STEP THREE
Give liberally to the financial support of the ministry
Your tithe and offerings help support the work of the ministry
The lack of your giving will only place more undeserved pressure on your pastor
     STEP FOUR
               Help your pastor
Try to take as much labor off of your pastor's plate as necessary
Ministry can be one of the most thankless professions
The lighter his or her load, the better the opportunity for them to seek the face of God for the congregation
     STEP FIVE
               Ensure your presence at church
Your presence alone should provide encouragement to your pastor
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;
3 As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life forevermore.
